A comparative study of the viewpoint of Nasr Hamed Abu Zayd and Allameh Tabataba’i on Ta’wil

The subject of the forthcoming article is “Interpretation from the perspective of Nasr Hamed Abu Zayd and Allameh Tabataba’i and its relation to the principles of Hermeneutics in commentary”. Nasr Hamed is a specialist in Arabic literature and a contemporary Egyptian thinker who has views influenced by Western philosophers, in particular the Gadamer Hermeneutics about the authenticity, efficiency and the method of understanding Quran especially the Interpretation. He presents different definitions of interpretation in his works which results in the denial of efficiency of some verses and, as a result, misleads the public. Contrary to Allameh Tabataba’i, he doesn’t consider the interpretation as the truth of the Quran and the guardian of all Quran and specific to the Infallibles. He believes that some of the verses are without interpretation.
Knowing his views and criticizing them will block the way to deviation of thought in understanding the Quran.
