Evaluation of ZnO (ZnO) Nanoparticle Efficiency to Remove Ciprofloxacin Antibiotic from Aqueous Solutions

Antibiotics, due to cumulative properties, cause major problems in humans and the environment. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO) to remove antibiotics ciprofloxacin from aqueous solutions. In this experimental study, the effect of parameters such as solution pH, antibiotic concentration, contact time and dose of nanoparticles in antibiotic degradation of ciprofloxacin was investigated. At each step, keep parameters constant and variable of one parameter, test was done. The results of the experiment showed that the initial pH of the solution in the antibiotic removal process is the main parameter. And the optimum pH value was 7. The removal value at this pH is 93/53%. Also, the contact time parameters were obtained at 93/55% and the nanoparticle dosage at 0.01 g / l was equal to 92.66%. The results of the experiment showed that the use of ZnO nanoparticle in the antibiotic removal of ciprofloxacin is effective.
