Investigating the Impact of Ethical Security on Social Solidarity and Consensus

The existence of social solidarity is one of the prerequisites for the development and growth of societies in the modern world, especially metropolises, which is associated with serious risks in new societies. One of the factors affecting social consensus is the existence of moral security in society. This research has been done to investigate the effect of moral security on social solidarity and consensus. This paper utilizes a survey method. The population of the study consisted of citizens living in the Tehran metropolis. Based on the Krejcie and Morgan tables, 384 people were questioned. The data were collected using a valid and reliable questionnaire (Cronbach's alpha, 0.91) and analyzed using structural equation modeling technique. Findings and The research showed that the average moral security score in Tehran is less than average and the mean score of social consensus is moderate and the effect of moral security on social consensus is significant. Therefore, it is necessary to review policies related to this issue due to the lack of ethical sense of security in Tehran, and, with regard to the importance of social consensus, policies related to the field of moral security should be pursued.
