Identification Sustainability Dimensions and its Assessment in Iran’s Agricultural and Natural Universities

The universities interests to achieve sustainability as a goal of sustainable development will not be possible without recognizing its dimensions and its assessment. When university manager recognizes the sustainability dimensions, planning for sustainable development at the university will be more efficiency by considering that dimensions. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify the sustainability dimensions and assessment sustainability level in the agricultural and natural universities. A made questionnaire was used to collect dada. Its validity was proved by using content and structural validity, and its reliability confirmed by Cranach's alpha (α ≥ 0/79). Data analyzed by SPSSWin20 and IMINDMAP software. Findings showed the universities sustainability was at the lowlevel. Factor analysis suggested nine components as the basis dimensions of sustainable development at the university. These factors included of incorporation sustainable development in the curriculum, Economic capacity building, environmental protection, the efficiency of energy, participation and cooperation, building social capacity, publications and products, and health. In total, these dimensions explained 83.459% of sustainable development variances at agricultural and natural universities.
