the prediction marital instability based on marital conflict with moderating role post-partum depression.
In this descriptive-correlational study, all the postpartum women referring to health centers in Tehran in year 2018 constituted the research population. From this population, 149 postpartum women were selected through convenience sampling method. In this study, Edinburgh postnatal depression scale of Cox, Holden & Sagovsky (1987), marital instability index of Edwards, Johnson & Booth (1987) and marital conflicts scale of Barati & Sanaee (1994) were used for data collection in this study. Evaluation of the proposed model with path analysis using AMOS-16 software was done. The indirect relationships were tested by using bootstrapping procedure in Preacher and Hayes Macro command.
The proposed model had an acceptable fitness to the data. Overall, the results showed all the direct paths were found significant. Also this model showed indirect path marital conflict with marital instability, through moderating role post-partum depression.
The evaluated model has a good fit and is an important step in identifying the factors that are effective in marital instability. Therefore, the model can be useful for the design and development of marital instability prevention programs.
