A study of the performance of the Dutch and British governments in the Persian Gulf during the Zandiyeh period

The Persian Gulf was important not only for the countries of the Middle East but also for the European countries, because of the important position of intelligence in the region. So the competition for control of trade in the region began. At one time, a colonial state gained monopoly on trade in the region, and at a time of decline due to the superiority of the rival country. After the death of Shah Abbas, competition in the region intensified. The rivalry between the Netherlands and the UK initially led the Netherlands to power in the Persian Gulf, especially on the island of Kharg, to hold trade for many years, and even to build churches, office buildings and settlements. Conflicts between colonial governments like the Netherlands, meanwhile, were fought with local governments such as Mirmhana, which ultimately ended Mirmhana's wickedness and great power on the island of Khark, but these local governments occasionally bothered the central government. They did. Thus, the central government sought the help of the colonial government to suppress these evil governments and to secure domestic and foreign trade as well as to secure the borders.
It should be said that the findings of the present study are that, Following the concessions that the Netherlands had gained in the Persian Gulf, and in particular to Kharg, the British also sought such concessions and thought of dominating Kharg, but the Zandiyeh government did not give England the opportunity to do so.
