Developing a Qualitative Security Model for Development of Sustainable Tourism

Abstract:

The current paper deals with the developing and testing a qualitative security model for development of sustainable tourism. In the same vein, it exploits qualitative method and selects 10 potential partners including commentators and experts in security and tourism based on the Objective Sampling and Theoretical Saturation Technique. Following, it enjoys semi-structured interview and instruments to gather data and takes the viewpoints of the commentators and experts in security and tourism by means of open and close questions. Exploring instruments, it exploits varied resources such as books, dissertations, essays and journals to qualitatively analyse data through Thematic Analysis in three levels including basic, organizing themes and learning the qualitative model of security in developing tourism, and to validate the data, it applies alignment. The outcome of the study suggests that the model possesses 5 universal themes (economic security, cultural security, social security, political security, environmental security), 12 organizing themes and 200 basic themes the relations between and among of which are presented in the format of a model.
