Promoting Community Health through Social Health Education in Textbooks
Social health as one of the dimensions of public health in the community along with mental, spiritual and medical aspects play a significant role in the sustainable development of society. The purpose of this study was to investigate the components of social health based on the Keiz model in elementary school textbooks.
The research method is quantitative content analysis. Statistical population was also elementary school textbooks and statistical sample of 6th grade experimental science textbooks. Content validity using CVR was 0.90. To assess the reliability, three evaluators were asked to examine the components of the present study that there was agreement and the coefficient of agreement was 0.80.
The results showed that the highest importance factor was related to the social prosperity component with 67 frequencies and the lowest importance factor was to the components of social cohesion, participation and acceptance, which was not observed.
The present study showed that the social health of the studied textbooks was not paid much attention and that textbooks should be reviewed from this perspective.
