The paper pursues three general goals: Firstly, it tries to explain briefly the conception of soft power and national security, secondly, it compares soft war with hard war, and thirdly, it assesses the impact of soft war on national security regarding Iran’s security structure. The studies show that the challenges and threats to national security, which are carried out indirectly and without bleeding, quietly and inexpensively, are a soft power that is based on seduction and persuasion. The Islamic revolution, as a thought and new political model, has hit hard to the dominance of the west.
