The Parliamentary Oversight in Advancing National Interests

 One of the most important issues in the new global politics is an oversight. The issue, has different legal, institutional, functional and media dimensions, has a particular importance. The nature and place of oversight in the information age has increased because the new media provides public opinion with all domestic issues. In this regard, the pursuit of national interests derives from the implementation of comprehensive oversight, especially legal and media monitoring. It is obvious that monitoring the executive branch has more importance due to the fact that it has the most financial and budgetary power and it can effectively communicate with the people. These oversights including legal, political, media, financial, and operational monitoring, are serving the country's national interests and reducing the corruption, inefficiency and guarantee the rule of law.
