Evaluation feedback on using Google and Yahoo search engines in postgraduate students’ researches of Payame Noor University in Babol

This research is applied and survey - analytical. The research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire that its validity was obtained by consulting the experts and reliability was determined based on Cronbach's alpha test(0.839). The statistical population included 151 graduated students of Payam Noor University in Babol and the sample size was 108 according to the Cochran formula. The sampling method was random. For data analysis software SPSS version 22 was used.

There was a significant difference between the satisfaction of students from the Google search engine and Yahoo(P=0.001). There is a significant difference between the students' familiarity with the factors affecting the search engines(P=0.001). The average of the components examined for the Google search engine is higher than Yahoo's search engine (Google =4.04 Vs. Yahoo=3.76) and this difference was significant(P=0.001). The students use these search engines to choose the subject of research.
