The effect of Person-Job fit on the innovative work behaviour with the mediating role of person-organization of employees at the Ministry of Sports and Youth

Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of Person-Job fitness on innovative work behaviour with the intermediary role of person-organization fit in the staff of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The research method was descriptive correlation. The statistical population of the study consisted of all the official staff of the Ministry of Sports and Youth in 335 people. Based on the Morgan table, 180 individuals were selected as the sample of the study. The data collection tool was three standard questionnaires Person-Job Vogel & Feldman (2009), person-organization fit Organization (2008), and innovative work behaviour De Jong & Den Hartog (2008). Data were analyzed using SPSS and LISREL software. Inferential statistics such as Kolmogorov-Smirnov test were used to determine the nature of the data, and Pearson correlation parametric method and path analysis model were used to determine the relationships. The results showed that the Person-Job fitness on the innovative work behaviour with the coefficient of influence 0/55 has a positive effect. The fit of the person-organization fit has a positive effect on the innovative work behaviour with the coefficient of influence 0/49. It can also be argued that person-organization fit approach plays a mediating role with a coefficient of effect 0/31 for the effect of Person-Job fit on innovative work behaviour. As a result, managers of the Ministry of Sports and Youth need to emphasize both individual-work and individual-organization fit to enhance their innovative work behaviour.
