Abstract:
This research is intended to investigate the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the imposed war. The critical theory of international relations is a theory for explaining how international systems work, what the norms governing them are, and how we can change the existing order and achieve a desirable one. Regarding the reformist and the anti-arrogance approach in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic, it is promising that the critical theory of international relations will be able to explain the foreign policy of these years. Considering the alignment of the principles and concepts of foreign policy in the course of the imposed war and the critical theory of international relations, this research intends to investigate Iran’s foreign policy during this period through a critical approach. Indeed, the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the era of the imposed of war paves the way for conducting an analysis through the critical theory of international relations.
