The Effects of social factors on social Happiness (case of study: the residents of the city of Esfahan)
This purpose nvestigation aims to study the effects of social and demographic factors on social happiness among the residents of the city of Esfahan. The research population of all the residents above 10 years of age which totaled 1663834, of which, 600 people were selected as a statistical sample, quota sampling method. Then, they completed Argyle Oxford Happiness Inventory (1995) and independent variables researcher-made. (1396). The data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation and stepwise Regression analysis was performed using SPSS software. The results showed that social happiness of the majority of the respondents (69.5 percent) was at a moderate level. The results of regression analysis showed that Social capital with a beta standard coefficient of 0/26 and family status and kinship network, with a beta standard coefficient of 0.27, were significantly associated with social happiness. Economic situation with a beta standard coefficient of 0/31 and mental/physical health, with a beta standard coefficient of 0/25, were also significantly associated with social happiness. The results of regression analysis showed that all the independent variables did in fact entered the regression equation and that all together could explain about 26 percent of the variance of social happiness. Economic situation and Physical and mental status had, respectively the highest and the lowest amount of influence on social happiness.
