Abstract:

Since there was a close religious, cultural and commercial relationship between the people who speak Syria, living in Mesopotamia and the Jewishes who speak Arabic, living around Syria and Palestine with the Arabs living in Hejaz and the mutual influences of these languages on each other, some of the scientists, both in past and present, have claimed that the Syriac word "laha" and Hebraic word "Jehovah" have been the origin of derivation of glorious word in Arabic language. But the scientific and critical view on the reasons and records of these two views and lack of enough and convincing reasons or written evidences from the procedural transition of these words have put these claims as a hypothesis which has been established based on religious or political motivations. The applying of this word in the culture of the ignorance Arabs and the poets living in the pre-Islamic period reinforce the nobility view of Arabs.
