Article Criticism: "Investigating the Nature of Jabir’s Hadith and Its Position in Proving the Names of the Twelve Imams"

Message:
Abstract:

The article entitled “Investigating the Nature of Jabir’s Hadith and Its Position in Proving the Names of the Twelve Imams” considers that “Jabir’s Tablet” hadith is a fabrication, denies any written tablet containing the names of all the Imams and claims that the names of all the Imams were narrated to none others except him. The present paper criticizes the mentioned article stating that its most important methodological drawbacks are: not using the reliable method for criticizing the two Hadiths of Tablet, the duality of document authenticity, the one-sided selection, and the disregard of narratives and reports presented by the opponents. As for its content drawbacks, they are: internal inconsistency of the documents, inaccurate citations, confusing between the insurance of the narration and its prevalence, the inaccuracy of denying the revelation of any tablets which include the names of the Imams, the inaccuracy of the claim that the names of all Imams was narrated by none other than him, and also the mistake about Jaber's blindness and age.
