Types of Cancer in the Medical Works of Islamic Civilization from the First Century to the End of the Sixth Century AH
In the medical works of the Islamic Republic, attention has been paid to various diseases. Among various diseases, cancer has a special place. Muslim doctors have made many efforts to introduce cancer types, cognition, categorization, treatment options, effective drugs, and various cancerrelated issues.
Using a review method, a library and referring to the first sources in the medical field of Islam, various types of cancer were extracted and examined. This article attempts to explore various types of cancers in Islamic medical works from the 3rd to 7th centuries, using various Islamic medical sources.
In Islamic medical texts, cancers, depending on the type, can be classified into different types due to the characteristics of the cancer itself. Almost all Islamic medical tests are dedicated to various topics related to cancer. In this regard, the introduction and categorization of cancer types is the main topic of this article.
It is important to explain the role of organic matter and its role in the emergence of cancer. The most important of these is the division into cancers that originate from the human body and the location of the cancer. Another division is due to the weakness and severity of the cancer, and the other is classified by the secret or appearance of cancer.
