Management of Nuclear Radiological Events
The characteristics of nuclear -radiological events is quick release, low probability of forecast, the time required for alarm, intensity and destructive power; may kill thousands. With good management and actions such as consider safety standards and emergency operations we are able to take control and supervision. prompt treatment of injuries cause prevent of complications.
This is a review article. For the formulation it, library studies and online search in databases (Pub Med, Google Scholar, Science Direct, Magiran, SID) with keywords (Guideline, Incident Command System, Management, Radiological Accident, Radiological Incident) between years 2000_2016 was done.
Program for nuclear-radiological events includes two parts:1-prehospital (on scene) 2-hospital. Since in this type of accidents due to lack of resources, aid workers and complication of management we use Incident Command System (ICS) for optimization use of facilities and personnel.
The nuclear-radiological accidents are complicated. For reducing the adverse effects we need to immediate response, coordination between agencies and procurement of necessary equipment causing lost time. Provision of equipment, teaching guidelines, management and specify the tasks in format of ICS (Incident Command System) can be done before the accidents even in time of accidents activities focused for operation and make reduce chaos and casualties.
