Citizens' perception of the extent of organizational corruption in police and civil service organizations

This study aims to evaluate the citizens' perception of the extent of organizational corruption in civil organizations. This study is an applied research. The population consisted of all the people above 18 years old residing in the capitals of the provinces. 15048 people were chosen using random sampling method. The amount of the sample in each province varied from 400 to 1100 people which were chosen according to their proportion to the people above 18 years old, using Cochran formula. The questionnaire was constructed by the author and after ensuring its reliability and validity was used in 2013. The questionnaire was constructed according to the indicators of organizational corruption including bribery, embezzlement, collusion and nepotism. The score of perception of the organizational corruption was calculated on a scale of 0 to 10. In order to analyze the data, the indicators of mean, median, standard deviation, Multivariate analysis of variance tests, Box's M and Bartlett' test were used. The results indicate that the extents of the citizens' perception of the organizational corruption from highest to lowest are as follows: municipality, banks, courts and justice departments, costumes, Finance and tax departments, police force, hospitals, universities, registration offices and education.
