A Study of The Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence and Preventive Measures Against Official Corruption from the Viewpoint of Senior Officers of NAJA (Case study, Intelligence and Public Safety Police of Tehran)
This study is trying to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence (independent variable) and preventive measures against official corruption (dependent variable) among senior officers with ranks 16, 17, and 18 in intelligence and public safety police of Tehran. Standardized questionnaires were used in order to test the two variables. 33 factor and four factor measures of emotional intelligence with the reliability of 0.953, and 31 factor measure of preventive factors against official corruption with the two pivotal dimensions of behavioral and structural factors and 9 factors with the reliability of 0.973 along with a number of demographical questions were distributed and after collecting were analyzed through descriptive and inductive methods using SPSS ed. 21. Pearson correlation at the significance level of 0.004 with the value of 0.5 proves the relative correlation between these two variables. At the end, it was concluded that the management and budgeting of emotions in confronting temptations in the workplace could be useful up to 25 percent.
