Providing a Model and Ranking for the Effective Factors in Administrative System Health According to Islamic Sources
The goal of this study is to identify and prioritize effective factors in promoting administrative system health in Islamic Republic of Iran’s Police and it seeks to provide relevant solutions and strategies to reduce administrative corruption. This study has a functional goal and a descriptive-observational methodology. The data collection instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire which was based on theoretical principles. Its validity was approved by experienced professors. To measure its reliability Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was applied and it was estimated to be .91. The population under study consisted of the row and headquarter personnel and managers of Police Command of Tehran and from this population a sample of 177 subjects was chosen using Cochran’s formula. In order to remove the likelihood of defective or missed answers, the questionnaire was distributed among 200 personnel of the command, being row or headquarter staff (managerial and non-managerial) and collected thereafter using a stratificational sampling and random selection. To analyze the data, SPSS software was used and a one-sample t-test was run. In order to rank the influence of the factors under study on the increase of administrative system health TOPSIS technique was used. The results show that all of the abovementioned factors were effective in the prevention and reduction of corruption in personnel and which naturally promotes administrative system health and among these factors organizational factor had the most weight and personal factor had the least.
