This study examine the evolution of the Residency exam during the years 1357 to 1397, as well as the achievements and challenges posed by this test in this interval. Also, the achievements achieved in recent years to promote the goals of knowledge of medical education has been expressed. This study is descriptive and analytical and library survey.
Allocating capacity to universities based on needs of the community and the health sector, the evolution of the rule of residents acceptance, training and recruiting physicians in the deprived areas, special attention to the medical elite in a medical specialty is another goal that was implemented in order to justify the recruitment of the residents and to cover specialist personnel throughout the country.
Expanding educational justice and creating equal educational opportunities for individuals from every economic and social class, identifying and attracting brilliant and elite talents, strengthening the medical education system by providing services through effective interaction, and training human resources at various levels, including the achievements of the development plan Human resources are in the health system.
