AN INVESTIGATION OF THE REASONS FOR RÉGIS BLACHÈRE'S QUR'ANIC DEFICIENCIES
Although the documentative knowledge of the Holy Qur'an is one of those that has provided sufficient evidence, cpntextual evidence, and testimonies to support it, some scholars have failed to or did not want to reach these arguments. So, they assumed that the Holy Quran was distorted after the death of the Prophet (p.b.h).This research, while presenting the view of French Orientalist Régis Blachère regarding distortion in the Holy Qur'an, analyzes the evidence that led him to accept this theory, and provides historical evidence by examining the historical origins of his ideas. Eventually, firm evidence, written testimonies, and correct narratives have proved his claim incorrect.Research Methodology in this research is historical and documentary. The findings of this study show that Blachère expresses his views in this regard more astonishingly, refusing to provide documentary reasons and decisive expression, and the evidence of his wonders is a series of weak and untrustworthy narratives that most came from Sunni sources.
