Analysis of the Impact of ICT on Sustainable Development, Using Sustainability Indicators

The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of ICT on sustainable development Iran. In this study, a brief definition and description of the sustainable development and ICT, presented based on previous studies and the indicators to measure them have been discussed. Then the constitute models in these area have been considered. According to the extracted indicators the conceptual model to introduce the interaction between these two areas has been proposed. The basic model was the result of theoretical studies and consultation with experts in the two fields. Using qualitative methods and through structured questionnaires the suggested model was validated. The effects and weight of the all dimensions calculated and the analytical model was presented. In general, it can be concluded that the development of ICT is often promotes most of sustainability indicators. For each individual indicator the impact has been identified too
