Social Factors Affecting Juvenile Delinquency in Kazeroon City and Ways to Prevent Them

Crime prevention is one of the essential requirements of social life, and considering the existence of delinquency and violation of social norms and their effects on the individuals' lives s and community, the fight against this phenomenon is indisputable and incontrovertible. Meanwhile, what is important is the quality of the fight and the way of fighting it, which has the lowest cost and the most efficiency. The purpose of the current research is to identify social factors of delinquency and delinquency prevention among adolescents in Kazeroon city. This is a survey research carried out using ordinal questionnaire technique whose reliability was calculated to be 95%. The statistical population of study consisted of 15-20 year old- adolescents of Kazeroon city.  Based on Cochran's formula, 379 cases of juvenile offenders and non-offenders were selected as research sample using multi-stage sampling method.  Additionally, data analysis was done using regression analysis. Findings of the research show that the most important social factors affecting juvenile delinquency are family, school and educational environment, life environment and neighborhood, and the lack of cultural and sports facilities for adolescents. In this paper, we seek to answer this question: What are the most important social factors affecting juvenile delinquency in Kazeroon city. What are the most important ways to prevent from juvenile delinquency in Kazeroon?
