Epistemology, a framework to understanding Imam Khomeini's Political thoughts

This project was aimed at giving a new understanding of Imam Khomeini's political thoughts through an epistemological framework. The research method was descriptive-analytical. Results indicated that the political thoughts of Imam Khomeini confirmed his epistemological approach whether directly or indirectly. The two tools of reason and revelation have had the greatest impact on Imam Khomeini's political thought. His political thoughts, despite the significance of acquired knowledge, have been developed under the dominance of presential knowledge and more specifically through jurisprudence and theology. It is also said that many of his political approach could be consequence of epistemological assumption. Moreover, devoution is the highest level of knowledge to him.
