Collaborative Planning for the Popularization of Science

Scientific development meaning growth along with changing attitudesand evolution in social institutions for more utilization andinnovations requires popularization of science and realization ofpopularization of science goals or reflection of scientific thoughtswhich are understandable to the public requires planning according tothe characteristics of a certain society. In the field of planning,different methods have been developed. One of them is collaborativeplanning which has been considered by many countries in recentyears. This type of planning tries to provide the members of the targetcommunity with the possibility of public participation in differentlevels of planning and decision making. This descriptive-analyticresearch uses available resources to provide a conceptual model ofplanning for popularization of science. It seems that collaborativeplanning is better suited and more compatible with the nature andfunctions of science popularization in Iran.
