The effectiveness of counseling-based solutions focused to reduce the risk of divorce and marital discord in disagreeable women
The aim of this study was the effectiveness of counseling-based solutions focused to reduce the risk of divorce and marital discord in disagreeable women. The method of research was Quasi-experimental and pretest – posttest with multi groups. The statistical population included all women who were referred to the Justice Department in Ardabil in order to divorce in 2016. The sample consisted of 30 non-compliant women (divorce applicant) selected by available sampling method and divided into two groups (one experimental and one control group). To collect information from questionnaires marital instability (Edwards et al, 1987) and Beir- Sternberg discord (Beir & Sternberg, 1977). For experiment group, Solutions focused Consulting were held in 7 sessions in one and a half hours whereas control groups did not receive any training. The results of multivariate analysis of covariance showed that Solution-focused counseling can reduce the risk of divorce and marital discord in disagreeable women (p<0/05). These results can be a backup to use Solution-focused counseling to reduce the risk of divorce and marital discord in disagreeable women that in addition to preventing the collapse of the foundation of the family, this method can also be used to prevent family conflicts and disputes.
