Elderly and age increases changes in health and quality of life. Therefore, proper education of health care providers, especially nurses, increases the efficiency and independence of the patient and reduces the complications of aging. The relationship between nurse and patient varies with physician and patient relationship and the nature of nursing is such that care ethics should be considered more than therapeutic considerations. Therefore, nursing ethics should be considered more in other areas of ethics due to specific professional and functional characteristics. Therefore, attention to ethical issues in nursing education and care, especially in the care of the elderly, has become increasingly important.

Discussion and Conclusion

The world’s aging population and its adverse effects on quality of life are cited as a crisis in today’s world. The population is getting older and the care burden of the elderly population is higher because they cannot afford self-care. Self-care education has a positive effect on improving the quality of life of the elderly. Studies also show that this training is associated with professional nursing ethics and helps to improve the quality of life. Therefore, it is recommended that nurses design their interventions and training based on these ethical commitments in a way that preserves and enhances the health of elderly clients.
