The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of rebound therapy on improving perceptual visual coordination and social development of students with learning disabilities.
The method of this research is applied. To do this, the semi-experimental research method was used using pre-test and post-test with the control group. The statistical society consisted of all students with a diagnosis of learning disabilities who received the necessary interventions at the Dezful Education and Rehabilitation Center for Learning Disorders. The research sample consisted of 30 students with learning disabilities in Dezful city who were selected from these centers and randomly assigned to two groups of experimental and control (15 subjects per group). For data collection, the Visual Critical Scale of the Gastalt and the Social Development of Thailand was used. In the implementation process, the experimental group received rehabilitation training for 8 weeks and no control group received any intervention.
The results of the analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) showed that rehabilitation training has an impact on perceptual visual coordination and social development, which leads to increased visual perceptual coordination and social development of students with learning disabilities.
These results have important information about the treatment of this disorder, so that this educational program can be used as an interventional method in schools and medical centers.
