With the advent of information and communication technology, in recent decades, a new gate opened to human beings and all its biological dimensions, and created many changes in the field of education and learning. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to investigate how changes have been made in how learners learn from the growth and advancement of technologies.
This research is a systematic review that was used to collect information from search engines and valid databases and library studies in published scientific books and papers. In this regard, the key words were: ICT, distance learning, correspondence, e-learning, mobile, online, compilation. During this process, 160 sources were selected during the period from 1380 to 1397-2000 to 2018 and a total of 101 sources were used.
By exploring the evolutionary process of learning, we studied the typology of learning in order to grow the technology. Initially, learning was done in the face-to-face paradigm (traditional), after which the growth of technologies led to the formation of distance learning, which is divided into two parts of correspondence education and e-learning. Electronic learning is also categorized into two online learning subcategories. In the next step, with the growth of technologies, compilation learning came about.
The described topics are that the growth of technologies has led to the formation of new approaches to learning due to the inadequacy of traditional teaching methods. Hence, in the traditional paradigm of learning, which is the dominant form of our academic system, the rule of traditional teaching was criticized. In the next step, using the meta-analysis of the benefits and barriers of using e-learning in the structure of higher education in Iran was analyzed. In the last learning loop of technological advancement, compilation learning is achieved through combining the experience of class attendance and the use of technology.
