The Historical Investigation of Intellectual Approaches Effective on the Theological Beliefs of Imamiyeh from the Early Second Century to the First Half of the Third Century

Abstract:

The recognition of currents effective on the intellectual trend in Imamiyeh community particularly in the early centuries is considered an issue worth to be investigated. The present article has a historical view towards this issue from the second century to the first half of the third century. theology of Imamiyeh passed from a phase of ascend in Kufa toward a phase of descend before Imamiyeh school of theology in Bagdad. The historical investigations reveal that theological approach of Hesham ibn e- Hakam, theological and hadith-based approach of Hesham Ibn e- Salem, hadith-based approach of scholars of hadith such as Ali Ibn e- Ja’far and Abu Hashem Ja’fari and the approaches accused of extremism with the centrality of characters such as Mohammad Ibn e- Hassan Ibn e- Sanan were considered as four effective approaches with high social influence in charge of propagation of instructions of Prophet’s Household in this era.
