Abstract:

One of the arguments related to the subject of the Qur'an and the culture of the time is the notion of the existence of verses in accordance with the belief of the audience of the coming age but against the new science in the Holy Quran. Acceptance of this notion has a direct impact on the competence and incompetence of the Qur'an's scientific authority over other areas of human knowledge. Some Qur'anic scholars have suggested that using the beliefs of the descending audience (though contrary to science) without confirming or denying those beliefs is a rational method. In their view, the Qur'an is intended to educate and guide the ignorant Arabs and, given their ability to understand and understand, has consciously and deliberately embraced the teachings that were consistent with the Arab's understanding of the Hijaz of the world and nature. The Qur'an, therefore, cannot be expected to be a source of knowledge about how the universe and human beings and their propositions are realistic. Based on this critical research, the present study has examined this notion and has finally concluded that the Holy Quran has approached modern beliefs with three approaches of denunciation, modification and acceptance, and the intentions of the Quran to guide and guide its audience. It was not in such a way that the vicious themes and superstitious beliefs arising out of the ignorance and backwardness of that age's culture were revealed in its revelatory themes. Nor are the verses presented as evidence of the conflict between the Qur'an and science but the interpretation of the Qur'an without regard to the correct criteria of interpretation and the imposition of uncertain scientific assumptions on the Qur'anic verses. Evidence for interpretations consistent with modern beliefs to defend this theory is also due to the fallacy of the Qur'an and the commentators' words. It also contradicts the eternity and sanctity of the Qur'an and causes the credibility of the Quranic themes to be discredited and to distrust the Qur'anic audience.
