Nursing Students' Attitude toward Marriage and Divorce and Its Relationship with Family Social Climate

This study investigates nursing students' attitude toward marriage and divorce and its relationship with the components of family social atmosphere. The purpose of this study was to investigate nursing students 'attitude toward marriage and divorce and its relationship with the components of social atmosphere in the family so that we can provide a proper explanation for these students' attitude toward marriage and divorce.

The population of this study was all students of nursing school of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (166 students). Due to the small sample size of the population, all of the population were selected through census sampling. And the tools of this research are: family social climate questionnaire, marriage attitudes and divorce questionnaire. Correlation method was used for data analysis.

The results showed that there is a significant correlation between students' attitude toward marriage and divorce and its relationship with the components of family social atmosphere.

Considering the important role of marriage and the negative impact of divorce on human life, studying attitudes toward marriage and divorce and its relationship with the social atmosphere of family plays an important role in identifying the factors of failure and success in marital life.
