Investigating and Analyzing the Relationship between Globalization, Quality of Life and Sense of Social Security in Border Areas

The present study aims to investigate the correlation between globalization, quality of life and sense of social security in rural border areas of Hirmand. The study is an applied research in terms of objective and a descriptive-correlational research in terms of methodology. The data collection method was library-survey and the main data collection tool was questionnaire. The dominant approach of the research was quantitative and the proposed research model was presented based on the relationships of the research variables and on the previous researchers’ findings. The statistical population of the study consisted of 2491 households residing in rural areas of Hirmand County. Based on Cochran formula, 360 households were selected through stratified random sampling method. Questionnaire was the main instrument for data collection. The formal validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by a panel of experts and the construct validity and combined reliability of the research instrument were tested by estimating the measurement model and they became satisfactory after making necessary corrections. Research hypotheses were tested using Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling. Data were analyzed using SPSSwin22 and AMOS21 software. The results showed that quality of life (0.728) had the most effect on shaping the sense of social security in border areas. In addition, globalization has had both indirect (-0.389) and direct (0.388) effect on the sense of social security of border area citizens. In the end, some suggestions are presented based on the results.
