Maintaining the current share of public transportation has direct relationship with users’ satisfaction. Determining users` satisfaction depends on many factors, which usually are divided into 5 categories: safety, comfort, reliability, service characteristics, and quality of providing information for users. This article suggests. The model used the data collected by a questionnaire which has three mail sections. The first section questions about satisfaction of users and the importance of each of these attributes have been asked, the second part is about the trip characteristics and the third part collected passengers’ socioeconomic characteristics. The proposed model studies Satisfaction Index with using the mean and variance, and simultaneous effect of satisfaction and importance of attributes. Analyzing of this model shows that those attributes which have the most impact on the users` satisfaction of system are Travel Safety, reaching the destination on expected time, and apt air conditioning of bus. While in developed countries reliability of service has the most important role in users` satisfaction. The proposed methodologies show some advantages compared to the others adopted for measuring service quality, because it can be easily applied by the transit agencies
