Abstract:

The purpose of Jungian psychology is to investigate the individuality or personality process within the human psyche. Individuality is a psychological journey which commences with a personal conflict and entails the discovery of unrealized psychological aspects of the human psyche. On this route, the person unveils the positive and negative sides of his/her unconscious and finally attains self-consciousness. Based on its archetypal nature, this self-consciousness is represented by conceptions of evolution and individuality in the works of art.The collection of Elahi-Nmaeh is a conversation between a father with his six sons who encourages them to a symbolic journey to their within. This research intends to investigate this psychological journey through an analytical-descriptive method based on Jung theory; and accordingly the symbolic aspects of individuality are decoded. The results of this study indicate that the father character takes the evolution and individuality journey by invoking his six sons as six symbolic layers of his own psyche.
