The effectiveness of transcranial direct current stimulation on emotion cognitive regulation in obesity and overweight women

The present study was conducted aiming to determine the effectiveness of Transcranial direct current stimulation (TDCS) on emotional cognitive regulation in women with obesity and overweight in the city of Ahvaz. The statical method used in this study is A Experimental method using pre-test and post-test .The statistical population including all women with overweight and obesity which referred to nutrition clinics in Ahvaz city at 2019. A to 30 of overweight and obesity women were selected by available sampling among the referring to nutrition clinics in Ahvaz then randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups and both groups were evaluated with pre-test(before intervention) and post-test(after intervention).after the initial assessment by Garnfeski emotion cognitive regulation questionnaire. The experimental group received Three Sessions of Anod Stimulation Over right DLPFC Reigon, while the control group didn’t receive any intervention. The data were analysised by SPSS-23.The results of this research showed that TDCS Intervention have been significantly effective in modulating emotional cognitive regulation (p<0.01). In addition, this intervention can increase reassessment and decrease Thought Rumination in people with obesity and overweight.
