The survey on theCauses of Job Stress of Police Officers, Graduated from AMIN Disciplinary Sciences University From 2001 to 2012 Employed in Alborz Province

Abstract:

Identifying stress of staff and personnel of commandership in Alborz Province and also specifying factors affecting it is the main objective of the present study. Given the above issue, stress will leave deep effects on occupational performance and also physical, mental, psychic and social activities of each of police officers. However, stress will cause obstacle in favorable fulfillment of their roles in any activity. Generally speaking, stress will cause serious adverse effect on performance of any activity. This study is of survey- descriptive type while its objective of applied type. Officers of graduates of AMIN Disciplinary Sciences University constitute subject of the study who are employed in Alborz Province. Based on randomized sampling method, a number of 127 officers were selected as sample size using Cochrane’s Formula, so that relationship of their stress was studied in accordance with self- confidence, job satisfaction, style of supervision of managers and their educations.
Researcher- made questionnaire was used for measurement of variables of study. Validity of questionnaire was obtained using constructive views of experts and connoisseurs and reliability of the questionnaire was obtained 0.90 using calculation of Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient. The results of the present study indicate that average stress among staff and personnel exceeds the normative level. There is a significant relationship between stress among staff and personnel and their job satisfaction. Also, there is significant relationship between management type of managers and stress among staff and personnel. Of the mentioned results, it can be concluded that spread of stress among staff and personnel was found “high” and various factors affect them.
