.Role of libraries of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in the transmission of Intangible Cultural Heritage
The aim of this research is to determine the amount of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) transmission by means of the libraries of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adultsin the five studied provinces. Herein, intangible cultural heritagefields involve all the Iran's registered elementsby UNESCO as well as the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran as intangible cultural heritage list of the country.Those fields include 5 main issues and 78 side issues. Our research population consists of all the libraries of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adultsduring 2006-2015 in the following provinces: Tehran, Razavi Khorasan, Isfahan,East Azerbaijan and Hamadan. Data collection are performed through Researcher's checklist filled by the employees of the Vice- Chancellor in Research Affairs of Institute and Descriptive-survey research method is used for analyzing the data.Research indicators show that the largest share of library lending resources in the field of ICH (25/3 %) referred to 2006 while the smallest share (1/12 %) was in 2014. From the elements of ICH points of view, Oral literature with 52/4%, Mosaic on wood andEtching with 14/5% andNature and entertainment with 8/8% were the major subjects of library loan tables compared to other subjects. Among the 44 public services in the libraries of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in the five provincesunder studied, introducing the landwith 8/4%, storytellingwith 7/6% and painting with 7/5% were the most attractive subjects for users.
