Development of Psychological Capital With Emphasis on the Component of Forgiveness in Nahj al-Balagha

This research has explained and analyzed forgiveness as the fifth component along with the four known components of psychological capital. The research method is directional qualitative content analysis based on the basics of revelation centering on Nahj al-Balaghah. Forgiveness contributes to the moral growth of individuals and to the increase of social and psychological capital in which the individuals’ relationships in the organization is expanded creating a wide range of satisfaction in the forgiving and forgiven individuals. The methods of forgiveness from the viewpoint of religion are in the form of pardoning, turning (one’s face) over, covering, ignoring and transgressing (from sins) because the practices of forgiveness in any organization must be different based on different individuals. The present research concluded that forgiveness should become a pervasive organizational culture so that managers can use it reasonably and efficiently to better utilize the organization and develop the psychological capital.
