Title (English):The Effect of Prospectors and Defenders Strategy on financial distress in Firms Enlisted in Tehran Stock Exchange

The main purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of futuristic and defensive strategy on financial helplessness in companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange. In this study, measuring business strategy from the mixed scoring method is done by Milz and Snow (2003) and so on to measure financial helplessness is used from Altam justified method. The statistical population of the study includes 131 companies and the study period covers the years from 1389 to 1396. The combined data method and the generalized least squares have been used by analyzing the information. The research show that there is a positive and significant relationship between business strategy and financial helplessness, In other words, in futures companies, financial helplessness is higher, and in companies with a defensive strategy, it decreases. In connection with control variables, the findings showed that the size of the board, financial leverage, company size, company age and loss this year with financial helplessness, there is a meaningful positive relationship and there is a negative and significant relationship between the independence of the board of directors, institutional ownership, the ratio of cash and the current ratio to financial helplessness.
