Developing Conceptual Pattern of Persistence in Architecture Based on Contextual Grounded Theory

Abstract Nowday, one of the most important problems that has taken the attention of architecture is the necessity of persistence and immortality in contemporary architecture. Many architectural works that are created may be confirmed at a particular time but will not end up to immortality works. Although in recent years, some of the conferences and meetings have examined the effects of immortal architecture in this regard, they have tried to find out how to create an immortal effect in the field of architecture. Nevertheless, the lack of a proper model of study and An examination of how to achieve sustainability and immortality (persistence forever) in architectural works is completely felt. Since Persistence in architecture can be examined from two perspectives: physical Persistence and Conceptual Persistence. The article is intended, by doing research on the "Conceptual Persistence" and how to achieve a practical solution to get out of this offer, In this way, it is possible to construct spaces that respond positively to the human's inner and spiritual needs at any time, and relate to a wide range of human beings. To explain the research problem, the method of Contextual Grounded Theory has been used. The findings of the research lead to the development of Conceptual persistence theory in the form of a coding pattern and writing of their relationships with each other. The results of the research are based on the fact that the use of common patterns of persistent works is a prerequisite for conceptual persistence in architecture, but not a sufficient condition. What works the common patterns alive is to make use of meaning and according to human nature in the form of mystery and symbol, which has an impact both on its culture and spirituality in the building.
