Explicitation and Implicitation Phenomenons in Translating Golestan into French

Explicitation and implicitation are two strategies in intercultural translation that have always helped translators to mediate between languages ​​and cultures. These two approaches, although known necessary, their use in translation is not subject to specific norms. The question here is how to find the right amount of explicitation and implicitation capable of transferring the global mean of the whole text. To clarify the issue, this paper examined the use of these two strategies in the translation of Golestan into French by the Persian-speaking Afghan translator, Omar-Ali Shah. The analysis of the examples showed that the translator should be aware of the challenges facing these two solutions while mastering both languages and two cultures, and use them wisely and in specific cases.
