Typology of Non-Dramatic TV Program Making

Everyday increasing deployment of new medias, has faced television as a traditional medium,with a difficult competition & challenge. But this medium,too, can apply different  means to sustain its standpoint & situation for its audience. By Taking advantage of different program making formats,it can provide suitable & arractive content for a range of audience with differente tastes. Whilst,regulating & layout of TV schedule based on a variety of TV programs has a special importance in maintaining this position. To achieve this, the recognition & usage of different non-dramatic genres necessiates having a criterion in categorizing the programs. The present research is trying to introduce different genres of programs with their different  features. To fullfil this goal, the article has applied the Grounded Theory or Classic Theory. The data analysis in relation to genre & non-dramatic formats, expresses that we can categorize TV programs in 5 major groups. Reality TV, Variety show, Talk Show, Clip & Documentary.
