The Role of Family Lifestyle in the Tendency of Children and Adolescents to Drugs and Psychotropic Substances with emphasis on Providing a Developmental Prevention Model
Lifestyle as a practical component in today's social analysis has a constructive effect on many citizens' social contacts. The aim of this research is to study the role of family lifestyle in the tendency of children and adolescents to drugs and psychotropic substances with emphasis on providing a developmental prevention model in Karaj city through descriptive-experimental methods. The statistical population is all children and adolescents under 18 in Karaj, who have been selected as the sample size using the Cochran's formula and using the sample sampling method of 400 people. The data collection tool is a researcher-made questionnaire in which the three main areas (lifestyle, the tendency to using drugs and growth prevention) are considered as closed and the Likert spectrum is used to measure them. Findings have shown that among the three types of lifestyles, Islamic lifestyle with a coefficient (0.60) has a greater effect on the developmental prevention and then the intermediate lifestyle is in the second place. In addition, developmental prevention with a negative coefficient (-0.53) has shown that it has the opposite effect on the tendency of children and adolescents to drugs and psychotropic substances. As a result, the tendency of children and adolescents to become addicted to drugs and psychotropic substances decreases with increasing developmental prevention.
