Comparison of self-evaluation and Evaluation by Training Instructor in the Gynecology Clerkship Course for Midwifery students of Islamic Azad University of Semnan
one of the most effective methods for quality assurance, continuous quality improvement process in the education system are essential preconditions aim of this study was to compare the self-assessment evaluation by the coach in the gynecology clerkship Course for midwifery students of Islamic Azad University of Semnan.
This study is a cross-sectional study on 70 students of the seventh semester Midwifery in Semnan Azad University is the training of women think the coach was carried out under the data collection tool clerkship women that consists of two parts Basic skills and specific evaluation by the scientific Board of Midwifery curriculum was developed by students at the end of each semester and for assessment used by the players themselves students was completed at the end of the results by SPSS software.
The total mean and standard deviation of self-evaluation and training instructor scores in especial skills was 1.2±0.625 and 1.37±0.31 and in general skills 2.09 ±0.32 and 1.56 ± 0.32. Therefore, total mean scores of student self-evaluation was higher than evaluation by training instructor in especial skills (p=0.07) and in general skills (p=0.015).
Result of this study show that student can judge clinical activity, therefore to promote training instructors instruction performance, student self-evaluation have been recommended.
