Evaluation of Parsons Mathematics Classroom Effectiveness Components in Public Schools in District Two of Tehran
The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of the components of Parsons Effectiveness (Adaptation, Goals, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment) of Mathematics Classroom in Public Schools of District Two of Tehran. The statistical population of this study consisted of all sixth grade students of public elementary schools in district 2 of Tehran in the year 1397/98. The total number of them was 518 and 251 of them were selected according to Cochran's random sampling method. In this study, Parsons (2009) standard questionnaire of effectiveness was used to collect research data. The validity of the questionnaire was validated by professors and experts and its reliability was calculated using Cronbach's alpha of 0.83. The results showed that the overall status of the components of Parsons Effectiveness (Adaptation, Goals, Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Commitment) of the math classroom in Tehran's two elementary schools with averages of 2, 1.98, 1.97, and 02 There was a significant difference at the 0.01 level with the hypothetical mean of the sample. Therefore, it can be inferred that the level of Parsons effectiveness components (adaptation, achievement of goals, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment) of the mathematics classroom is rated "below average".
