Comparative study of Mulla Sadra and Nishida Kitaro in some epistemological views (commonalities)
There are many commonalities between Mulla Sadra's thinking and Nishidakitaro's philosophy. Both have a holistic view of existence, and their epistemology and anthropology are ontological. The foundation of human's knowledge and cognition is the foundation of the world, and reality is the kind of consciousness. Both believe in the unity between subject and object. Reality emerges and is revealed in the realm of the human soul. In the process of knowledge of the world, these two philosophers are involved in a transcendent element of the soul. Man is not in a state of passivity in the perception of the world, but the soul has an active presence in this process. Truth and falsity belong to the descriptive and conceptual / linguistic states. Man builds himself by actions. Common aspects are also seen in the ontological foundations of knowledge in both of them, such as the indeterminacy of the ultimate foundation of existence and the way in which this foundation appeared and manifested in definite, plural, and actualized beings. In this study, we have only dealt with the commonalities of these two thinkers, and investigating the differences between these topics can be the subject of another study.
