Determining the Role of Islamic Lifestyle, Social Desirability and Self-Efficacy with Happiness and Mental Health in Students
Happiness, as one of the abilities of the human mind, plays a major role in innovation and solving human problems. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to determine the role of Islamic lifestyle, social desirability and self-efficacy in predicting studentschr('39') happiness.
The present study was an applied study of correlational studies. 150 students were selected from the student population of Payame Noor University of Zahedan Center in the academic year of 1997-98 in a simple random manner and information related to using Kaviani Islamic lifestyle questionnaires (2009), social desirability of Crown and Marlowe (1964), Schwarzerchr('39')s self-efficacy And Jerosalem (1992) and Oxford Happiness (1999) were collected. Pearson correlation and regression in Spss software were used to investigate the data.
The results of Pearson correlation coefficient showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between Islamic lifestyle and happiness (r=0.27) at 99% confidence level, as well as a positive and significant relationship between social desirability (r=-0.52) and self-efficacy (r=0.33) with studentschr('39') happiness at 99% confidence level.
Due to the learnability of happiness and its important roles in improving mental health and well-being, the education system planners should pay more special attention to it in scientific studies and educational planning.
